Deputies Visited Home Prior to Murder-Suicide
The Lexington County Sheriff's Department has released incident reports detailing two previous incidents involving a murder-suicide investigation
LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO) — The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department has released incident reports detailing two previous incidents involving a murder-suicide investigation.
On January 1, Deputies were called out to a home in the 1100 block of Old Barnwell Road in Lexington for a death investigation. The Lexington County Coroner’s Office later determined Marissa Reynosa, 26, Elijah Chavez, 4, and Ezra Chavez, 1, died from gunshot wounds. Officials say Jorge Chavez, 25 died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to an incident report, on November 14, 2016, deputies responded to the home in reference of a suicidal person. Also, on December 12, 2016, deputies were called after Reynosa claimed Chavez had showed up unannounced to the home to see the two children they have in common, and would not leave.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said the investigation is ongoing.
