Local Living: Clear the Shelter, Main Street Latin Festival, Friday Night Laser Light Show

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, Columbia Animal Services is hosting a Clear the Shelter adoption special.
All adoptions are free this month.
To find your new fur-ever friend, you can head to the shelter on Humane Lane.
They’re open Mondays through Fridays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Main Street Latin Festival returns to the City of Columbia later this month.
The event showcases the culture of Columbia’s Latin community through food, art, music, and more.
The fun kicks off on Saturday, August 24, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free.
There will be a Friday Night Laser Light Show next week.
It takes place Friday, August 16, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the South Carolina State Museum.
The event will feature music from Michael Jackson, Prince, and Queen.
Tickets are $10 for members and $12 for the general public.
