Early Morning Shooting Sends One to Hospital
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – One person was shot during an early morning shooting at the Viera Wildewood Apartments and investigators say the suspect (s) is still at large.
Deputies responded to the call of shots fired in the 800 block of Mallet Hill Road and say the victim was shot in the lower body and was transported to the hospital for surgery.
The suspects fled the scene in a black SUV, authorities say it is unknown how many suspects were involved in the shooting or how many people were inside the apartment when the shooting occurred.
The victim suffered non life threatening injuries, deputies say.
