2-year-old boy drowns in backyard pool in Gilbert

GILBERT, S.C. (AP) — The Lexington County Coroner’s Office says a 2-year-old boy has drowned in a backyard swimming pool.

Investigators said Kyron Keith was playing with his sister Wednesday afternoon when he ended up in the water at a home in Gilbert. He died a short time later at the hospital.

Deputies and the coroner’s office are investigating the death to see if any charges should be filed.
