Drugs discovered in Sumter home where 2 were slain
SUMTER, S.C. (AP) — Investigators say two men have been found shot to death in a Sumter home where marijuana and other suspected drugs were found.
Deputies were called to the home around 5 a.m. Friday. They say a woman flagged them down, saying her son and nephew were fighting and that they both might be dead.
Investigators found 35-year-old Reyshaun Holmes and 24-year-old Willie Chatman face down in a hallway. Both were dead from several gunshot wounds.
Deputies say another man in the house said he was in a bedroom when he heard the shots and ran out to call the woman who alerted authorities.
Authorities say they saw a number of bullet casings and bullet holes but did not find a weapon.
Deputies are investigating and no arrests have been made.
