Man Dies Weeks After Shooting in Lexington

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO) – A Sumter Street man shot in early January in West Columbia has died from his wounds, authorities said Tuesday.
David Washington, 57, known to many as “John Jr.,” was injured when multiple shots were fired into his home on Jan. 8, according to investigators.
Washington died from complications from his injuries on Jan. 27.
Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said, “Detectives have been working hard on this case since it happened.”
