Paralyzed Dog Gets Second Chance

Dubuque, Iowa (WOLO) — One sweet pooch rescued from a Tennessee puppy mill is getting a second chance at life thanks to some good samaritans.

An Iowa woman who has taken the dog under her wings, says she is not exactly sure, but believes someone may have kicked the dog, “Butterfly”dislodging the pups stomach and causing paralysis. After hearing about the dogs plight story Jane Wickler traveled nearly 2 thousand miles in 23 hours and rescued “butterfly”.

Wickler also gave the “Butterfly” a new lease on life by allowing her to now enjoy limited mobility.
