Columbia Fire Responds to Two House Fires Thursday Morning

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Fire says it responded to two house fires early Thursday morning. Authorities say it appears both houses were abandoned.

Crews responded to the first around 4:45 a.m. in the 2400 block of Santee Avenue, in the Old Shandon neighborhood of Columbia. We’re told that no one was inside the house at the time of the fire.

A second fire broke out less than three hours later, just less than a mile away on Pine Street.

Both incidents occurred in the triangle formed by Gervais Street and Millwood Avenue.
