Woman Arrested After Newborn Tested Positive For Cocaine

 

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)- A Sumter woman is being charged with unlawful neglect of a child after her baby was born with cocaine and opiates in its system on Friday.

Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said on January 11, Aubri Reba Morra,26, placed the newborn at unreasonable risk when she gave birth to an infant that tested positive for cocaine and opiates.

The Pinewood woman, who had insufficient prenatal care during her pregnancy, also tested positive for cocaine.

Morra has been charged with unlawful neglect of a child.
