Columbia, S.C (WOLO) — Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and there’s no shortage of events for you to enjoy with that special someone.

Blue Moon Ballroom in West Columbia is hosting a Valentine’s day in a nightclub atmosphere for a night of jazz music and dancing. There’s a 15 dollar cover to get n, just 10 dollars if you are a student which gets you inside, desserts and wine from 8pm until 10pm at 554 Meeting street.

You can share a little love by opening your heart to a new member of the family. The Columbia Animal Shelter at 127 Humane Lane is hosting a one day only reduced adoption fee of just 14 bucks Tuesday. The facility is open from 8:30 in the morning until 5 in the evening giving you a full day to find the pick of the litter.

If you are the outdoors type, you can enjoy the Love Riverfront Park event taking place at 312 Laurel street  Tuesday from 5:30 in the evening until 8:30 at night. If you’re there by dusk park officials say they’ll snap a photo of you and your sweetheart as the sun sets over the river. You can also enjoy hot cocoa and cozy up to a fire.
