Wil Crowe made his first start on Saturday since April 2015 after missing all of last year coming back from Tommy John surgery. There was no rust on his arm in his return.
The Gamecocks’ right-hander threw five innings of shutout ball, giving up three hits, striking out seven, and earning the win in USC’s 5-1 victory over UNCG.
Alex Destino had a two-RBI single to lead the offense and highlight a three-run fifth inning.
