ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A 40-year-old man has been arrested after a multi-agency narcotics investigation led to a seizure, said Orangeburg County deputies.

The Tuesday, Aug. 20, execution of a search warrant at a Sawyer Street home found that an estimated kilogram of cocaine worth $32,000 was found hidden in a box containing hair extensions.

“This has been a successful narcotics operation that has resulted in a major bust. Dealing a significant blow to drug trafficking in Orangeburg County,” states the sheriff.

Rocsan Anquillano, 40, has been charged with trafficking cocaine, 400 grams or more and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance near a school.

Anquillano faces up to 25 years in prison, if convicted.

Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office says South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), and the Department of Homeland Security assisted with the investigation.

“This successful joint operation showcases the effectiveness of working together in combating drug-related crimes,” states Sheriff Ravenell.

The investigation is ongoing, the sheriff says.
