Thursday Morning Menu

Columbia, SC. (WOLO) — It’s almost the weekend and there are plenty of ways you can get out and enjoy what is shaping up to be a nice end to the work week. Here are a few things happening in and around the Midlands in your  Morning Menu.

Friday you can start your day off with a cup of joe and some conversation during the Lexington Police Department’s first of four, “Coffee with a Cop” events. The good times begin at 7:30 Friday morning and run until 9:30 AM at the Chick-Fil-A on Saluda Pointe.

Also on Friday, you can meet and speak with journalist and author Cokie Roberts as she takes part in this year’s Literary Festival. Roberts will be sharing her most recent work, the stunning picture book “Ladies of Liberty: The Women Who Shaped Our Nation”. The event starts at 4PM and will be held at the Richland Library main branch at 1431 Assembly street.

And if you work up an appetite you can head over to Salsarita’s at their Harbison and West Columbia locations. The restaurant will be celebrating National Tortilla Chip Day by giving out free chips and salsa to all guests, all day. Join the fiesta Friday starting at 11AM.
