Town of Irmo hosts ‘National Night Out’ celebration

Irmo, SC (WOLO) — They were partying down in okra town Tuesday night.

The Irmo Police Department held its National night out event Tuesday evening at Moore Park.
The events are used by law enforcement agencies as a way to build lasting relationships with the community.

Officers we spoke with say this is one of the best parts of the job.

The National Night Out program began back in 1984.
