United Airlines flight attendants strike vote

(CNN)–  An overwhelming majority of United Airlines flight attendances voted on Wednesday, Aug. 28, to authorize a strike.

That is if their contact negotiations continue to hit a dead end through November.

The Association of Flight Attendants say the move to vote on a strike was fueled by United’s lack of negotiating in good faith.

The union members have been working with an amended contract that expired in 2021.

The flight attendants want a pay increase, as well as pay upgrades for schedules flexibility, on-ground duties, and retroactive pay.
