Orangeburg County deputies to conduct Labor Day weekend safety checkpoints
ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Orangeburg County Community Response Team (CRT) will be conducting special patrols over the Labor Day weekend, said the sheriff’s office.
According to a post on Facebook, the special patrols will be in collaboration with the South Carolina Highway Patrol Enforcement Plan.
Starting on Friday, Aug. 30, through Monday, Sept. 2, the safety checkpoints will take place to ensure the safety and security of all motorists, said Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.
All drivers are urged to follow traffic laws and prioritize road safety by the CRT.
The focus areas for these enhanced patrols include:
– US 176
– Branchdale Highway
– Highway 6
– US 301
– Shillings Bridge
– Highway 400
– Highway 4
– US 601
– Cope Road
– Savannah Highway
