Local Business Destroyed After Overnight Fire
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)- Columbia Fire officials are working to find the cause of a fire that left a local business completely destroyed Friday night.
The fire happened around 11:50p.m. at Sandy Run Towing located at 3610 north Main Street. Fire crews shut down north Main Street, between Miller Ave and Cook Ave for about an hour
Columbia Fire officials say no one was injured during the blaze, but say the business is a complete loss as well as multiple cars found inside.
On Saturday the owners where trying to salvage what was left of the business.
“We’re not down and out,” Owner Charles Cochran said. “We’re going to rebuild and relocate. It might take some time, I mean we’re kind of like the neighborhood mechanic shop around here, and right now it’s just clean up.”
Cochran said they lost the store dog in the fire.
Investigators are working to figure working to figure out the cause of this fire.
