City launches new way for residents to get pet license

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The City of Columbia had launched a new portal designed to make it easier for residents to license their pets, according to officials.

The new online platform offers a user-friendly experience, and allows residents to manage their pet licenses from the comfort of their homes.

The license fees are $5 for spayed or neutered pets and $25 for intact pets.

Residents are encouraged by the city to take advantage of the new system and ensure their pets are licensed.

In order to use the new online platform residents must reside within the city limits.

Richland County residents should continue to register their pets with the county, according to the city.

Click the link to register pets for the first time, or renew an existing pet license at: https://licensepet.com/columbia.
