ESPN’s College GameDay coming to Columbia!

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– They’re coming to our city!

Saturday night ESPN announced its traveling college football kickoff show will return to Columbia on Saturday Sept. 14 for the Gamecocks match-up with no. 16 LSU.

Its GameDay’s eighth trip to the University of South Carolina all-time with the last coming in 2014.

This time, officials say the show will set up in Gamecock Park across from Williams-Brice Stadium.

University officials say the set will also be the location of SportsCenter hits throughout Friday and the College Football Live show at 4 p.m. on ESPN2. Gamecock Park will be open for fans on Friday to be able to watch the shows.

The final hour of College GameDay will be broadcast from the sideline of Williams-Brice ahead of kickoff at noon.
