Cayce PD investigates shooting

Cayce, SC (WOLO) — The Cayce Police Department is in the preliminary stages of an investigation into a shooting they say took place at the Alight Apartment Complex Monday evening.  Authorities not releasing many details tonight, but we have learned that at least one victim has been transported to the hospital as a result of the shooting. Police say they believe this is an isolated incident.

At this time, authorities are asking anyone who does not live in the apartment complex or along the 800 block of Alexander Road to avoid the area as they continue trying to gather details and evidence. Those who do live in the area, and have to go through the area are being asked to have their identification ready to show on site officers.
