Newberry deputies arrest woman reportedly seen chasing a man while shooting at him

Newberry Co., SC (WOLO) — The Newbery County Sheriff’s Office spent several hours searching for a woman they say was involved in a shooting that took place Tuesday evening. After searching the immediate area, deputies say they received a tip from a witness and were able to locate the the suspect identified as Marshanna Anderson.

Deputies say they located her in Industrial Park not far from Whitner Road and College Streets where a few hours earlier authorities say Anderson was seen chasing a man while shooting at him several times.

Deputies say when they received the tip of a sighting they officials say they tightened their perimeter and concentrated on the area she was ultimately located, and arrested in what authorities call a ‘domestic related incident’. Deputies say Anderson will face charges for assault on the victim.  No injuries were reported.
