SCDOT preparing for Tropical Cyclone Eight impacts

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Transportation says the department is preparing for the potential impacts related to Tropical Cyclone Eight.

Crews in the affected areas have been preparing and are ready to respond, says SCDOT.

There potentially will be high winds and debris in roadways.

SCDOT encourages anyone with an issue on a state-maintained roadway to call them directly at 855-467-2368.

The traveling public should be weather aware and stay tuned to official sources of information including the South Carolina Emergency Management Division, local officials and local broadcasts.
