Spartanburg, SC (WOLO) — A nearly month long investigation by the Spartanburg Special Victims Unit has landed one man in jail accused of sexual exploitation of a minor. According to authorities, the mother of a male juvenile told police the man hired the young man to do some yard work at his home. Once the juvenile finished deputies say the suspect, 65 year old Timothy Curtis Goode invited the boy into his home where he repeatedly asked the boy to expose himself and according to officials grabbed the victim’s genitals.

Deputies say the young man told them he felt cornered and as though he could not leave the residence until he complied. Officials say when the boy exposed himself, Goode allegedly took pictures of him, offered him snacks and then drove him home.

After a detailed statement from the victim,  authorities say they were able to corroborate a portion of the juveniles story in order to secure a search warrant for Goode’s cell phone. Once they obtained that phone, officials say they found explicit photos of the young man. Goode was arrested and charged with 4 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – First Degree and another 4 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – Third Degree as well as a charge of Criminal Solicitation of a Minor.

A magistrate deferred a bond arraignment for Goode to a circuit court judge. Authorities, say they believe there could be more juvenile victims and are asking anyone with information to contact Investigator Michael Hatch with the Internet CRimes Against Children Task Force at (864)503-4509.

Goode remains in jail.
