40 Displaced After 2-Alarm Apartment Fire

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- The Columbia Fire Department battled an 2 alarm fire that displaced 40 residents Saturday morning.

The fire happened at 4:10a.m. at Paces Run Apartments. Fire officials say when they arrived fire was shooting through the roof of the apartments.

It took authorities about two hours to get the fire under control.

According to officials, 40 people have displace and 24 apartments have

been affected. Of the 24 apartments affected 12 are being reported a complete loss.

No one was injured during the fire.

This fire is under investigation by the Richland County Fire Marshal.
