Unattended Cooking Fire Causes $50k in Damages, 5 Displaced
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- A fire caused by unattended cooking has displaced five people Sunday afternoon.
The Columbia Fire Department said the grease fire started on the first floor of a two-story condo in 4000 block of Bethel Church Road. The blaze made its way from the first floor to the top of the condo.
Fire officials said the home suffered $50,000 in damages and is a complete loss.
No one was injured during the fire.
