SCSO: Couple arrested for possession with intent to distribute
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A couple has been arrested for possession with intent to distribute after a traffic stop on Hwy 15 south, say deputies.
A Sumter County Sheriff’s deputy was on patrol when the deputy saw a vehicle with a license tag that belonged to another vehicle and made a traffic stop on Highway 15 South.
During the stop, a probable cause search of the vehicle took place and revealed methamphetamine, fentanyl, and pills that are narcotics, according to the sheriff’s office.
Christopher Saxby and Candice Saxby were both taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and are being held awaiting a bond hearing.
Christopher Saxby is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, possession of narcotics in schedule I and II, driving under suspension, improper vehicle license, and uninsured motor vehicle.
Candice Nicole Saxby is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, manufacture of methamphetamine (2nd), possession of fentanyl, and possession of narcotics in schedule I and II.
