On Tuesday, Sindarius Thornwell was honored as the SEC Player of the Year, the first for a Gamecock men’s basketball player. Not only is considered one of the best to play at USC, now he’ll be ranked toward the top in the SEC, joining Shaq, Anthony Davis, Jamal Mashburn and others who previously won the award. But, as Sin does, he deflected attention off himself Tuesday and onto his team.
