Customers Tackle, Disarm CVS Robbery Suspect

CAYCE, S.C. (WOLO) – Some brave customers helped foil a robbery Thursday at a Knox Abbott Drive pharmacy.
Cayce Police were called to the CVS around 8:50 p.m. on a report of a robbery at a business.
When officers arrived, they learned a group of customers intervened and disarmed the suspect causing the weapon to discharge, authorities say.
The suspect, Monteka Rena Stevenson, was taken into custody and is charged with armed robbery.
Authorities say Stevenson is a suspect in other robberies in the area.
