Frank Martin’s mission when he came to the University of South Carolina five years ago was to build a program that could power it’s way to the NCAA Tournament on the norm.

Gamecocks fans now can put a 13 year wait to rest. They’re returning to the big dance.

Selection Sunday was celebrated in Columbia as USC was slotted as the No. 7 seed in the East Bracket of the 2017 NCAA Tournament. Better yet, the garnet and black are starting their journey in state at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena against No. 10 seed Marquette on Friday. Playing the last of four games at the site for the first round, the Gamecocks and Golden Eagles will tip off approximately at 9:45 p.m.
