Brookland-Cayce jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in their Class 3A State Championship match against Indian Land. Yet the Warriors answered less than two minutes later with an equalizer that kept the score 1-1 through two overtimes, two golden goal periods, and into penalty kicks.

The Warriors scored on all five of their attempts while the Bearcats were stopped on their third attempt by keeper Emma Thompson, falling 5-4.
