Pair of local 4-star WRs commit to South Carolina Football
Gamecock Football head coach Shane Beamer and wide receivers coach Mike Furrey landed huge commitments for the future.
In less than a 24 hour span, a pair of 4-star wide receiver recruits announced their verbal commitment to Gamecock Football via social media.
On Friday, Jordon Gidron, the standout wide receiver, made an announcement that he’s committed to South Carolina. Ranked No.41 as an ESPN prospect, Gidron is a local star in the Midlands at Ride View High School.

Gidron also announced he will reclassify into the 2025 cycle. The wideout originally started this year as ESPN’s No.7 wide receiver in the Class of 2026.
In addition, four-star wide receiver Malik Clark is staying home after committing to South Carolina Saturday morning on social media. Clark plays his high school ball at Rock Hill. Clark made a flip in his commitment from Florida State to South Carolina.
