Columbia, SC (WOLO) — Members of the Columbia City Council voted unanimously to commit to 1-hundred percent clean energy, making them the first City in South Carolina to do so.

The resolution that was approved during Tuesday night’s meeting will establish a community wide goal of having 1 hundred percent clean energy and renewable energy by the year 2036.

Columbia is now the 36th city in the United States to move toward a cleaner tomorrow by opting for clean energy.
