Governor Henry McMaster declares state of emergency due to flash flooding
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Governor Henry McMaster declared a state of emergency on Thursday, Nov. 7, due to the flash flooding in Orangeburg County.
The rain had the biggest impact in Orangeburg where dozens of roads were either closed or washed out completely.
The National Weather Service reports that 7 to 10 inches of rain fell across the eastern midlands region with localized areas receiving up to 15 inches.
