RCSD: 2 inmates stabbed after altercation at jail

 

 

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies say two inmates were attacked and stabbed during an assault at the jail.

Deputies say they responded to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on Saturday, Nov. 9, in regard to an assault, around 4 p.m.

When deputies arrived to the jail, they learned that inmates Joshua Bell, Fredrick Hunter, and Willie Morton were involved in a violent altercation and attacked two other inmates.

RCSD says the investigation revealed that the inmates were unsupervised at the time of the incident.

During the assault, two inmates sustained stab wounds.

One of the victims was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and the second victim was treated at the jail.

Inmates Joshua Bell, Frederick Hunter, and Willie Morton are all charged with assault & battery high and aggravated in nature and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
