RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Columbia Police Department is investigating a stabbing incident that happened on Sunday morning, said officers.

Columbia Police said the stabbing happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Petro Gas Shopping Center in the 2100 block of Bluff Road.

The adult male victim was taken to a local hospital, and officers say he is in stable condition.

A 45-year-old woman was arrested in connection to the stabbing.

Officers say Christina Grooms is being booked into the detention center, and charged with domestic violence of a high & aggravated nature.

Grooms is accused of injuring the male victim/acquaintance during an argument.
