Firefighters control 2-alarm structure fire

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia-Richland firefighters were able to control a 2-alarm fire that happened shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Monday morning, says RCFD.

The fire happened in the 2200 block of Main Street in Cottontown.

Fire officials say a vacant commercial property had a large amount of fire on two floors of the building, which caused officers at the scene to call for a 2nd alarm dispatching more resources.

Crews were able to contain the fire and bring it under control.

No one was injured.

CRFD says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
