Lessons in personal finance available for SC teachers

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)–Elementary school teachers have a little longer to register for a free personal finance lesson classroom kit.
Tuesday State Treasurer Curtis Loftis announced he is extending the deadline to register to December 20th.
Officials say the program encourages teachers to lead meaningful discussions with creative activities that are designed to help students learn how financial education plays a crucial role in personal growth and achievement.
Loftis says so far close to 300 teachers have registered for the program.
