President Biden pardons SC woman imprisoned for non-violent drug offense

(CNN) — President Joe Biden is commuting the sentences of roughly 1,500 people, and pardoning dozens. One of which is from Columbia.
it’s the largest single-day act of clemency in modern history.

45 year old Shawnte Dorathea Williams plead guilty to a non-violent drug offense in her 20’s.
in the years since, Ms. Williams has been steadily employed, involved in her community, working in her church’s food pantry and has been described by those who know her as a loyal and dependable community member.
