Lexington County Man Crashes Car After Being Shot

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO) –

A Lexington man is in the hospital after deputies say he was shot before crashing his car.

Lexington County deputies say the shooting happened Sunday afternoon in the 100 block of Millers Branch Road.

Witnesses told investigators the shooting victim drove away after being shot in his upper body. The driver then went on to crash his car in the 800 block of Westwoods Drive.

Emergency officials were called and the victim was transported to an are hospital.  His condition is unknown at this point in time.

Deputies say they are not actively searching for suspects, but say the investigation in ongoing.
