Historic Columbia’s Third Annual Water Balloon Battle

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – Kick off the Total Eclipse Weekend at Historic Columbia’s third annual Historic Water Balloon Battle from 5:30 – 7 p.m. this Friday, Aug 18 on the grounds of Robert Mills House & Gardens.

There will be two teams and more than 1,700 water balloons will be used to recreate several noteworthy battles throughout history.

The event will focus on the evolution of military strategies and teams will learn and incorporate tactics from three different time periods- ranging from the Revolutionary War, to World War I, to Vietnam and Korean Conflicts.

The Water Balloon Battle is part of Historic Columbia’s quarterly happy hour series. Before and after the battles, guests can relax with beer, wine and light refreshments.

Admission is $15 for Historic Columbia members and $20 for non-members. Participants must be 21 years of age or older. To purchase tickets, click here.
