Cheapest Christmas prices at the pump since 2020

(CNN)– As millions of Americans hit the road for Christmas, they can expect a special gift at the gas station.

Drivers will likely be greeted at the pump with the cheapest Christmas Day gas prices since 2020.

GasBuddy, an app that crowdsources pump prices expects a national average of $3.01 a gallon on Wednesday.

AAA says the average gas price in South Carolina is $2.75 a gallon.
