Ellington shines in first preseason game with Texans

HOUSTON (WOLO) – Bruce Ellington made the most of his debut with Houston.

Ellington hauled in a team-high four catches for 93 yards as the Texans topped the Texans 27-23 Saturday night. He brought in a pass from former Clemson QB Deshaun Watson that led to a catch-and-run gain of 33 yards while also grabbing a 37 yard long pass from Houston starter Tom Savage earlier in the night.

The former Gamecock was signed by his newest team on August 11 after being cut by the San Francisco 49ers and then failing a physical with the New York Jets earlier this month.
