Deputies arrest Lexington man accused of sexual exploitation of a minor

Lexington, SC (WOLO) — A Lexington man is behind bars facing six charges authorities say are connected to the Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. According to the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office who will be prosecuting the case say investigators acquired a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Officials say that report from the CyberTipline lead them to 30-year-old Zachary Collins Woodward accused of distributing and possessing files of child sexual abuse material.
Woodward was arrested by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Investigators along with Lexington County Sheriff’s Department December 31, 2024. Woodward is charged with two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, second degree, and four counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, third degree.
The AG’s Office says each of the charges are felony offenses punishable by up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
