Saluda Co. Coroner identifies 82-year-old woman who was found deceased

Police with the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a woman who was discovered as missing, said officers.

SALUDA COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Saluda County Coroner’s Office has identified the 82-year-old woman who was found deceased, said the coroner’s office.

Edwinton K. Henderson was found during the early morning of Tuesday, Jan. 14.

The coroner’s office responded to a location near a dirt portion of a street in the city limits of Batesburg-Leesville where Henderson’s body was found.

Henderson was reported as missing by her loved ones around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Saluda County Coroner Angie F. Rita has ruled Henderson’s death as an accident.

The investigation determined she had a medical event which was complicated by exposure to extremely cold environmental temperatures.
