Pedestrian struck and killed on Wilson Road in Newberry Co.

NEWBERRY CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was struck and killed Wednesday night.

It happened on Wilson Road near Wise Street around 6:10 p.m.

According to Corporal David Jones, the driver of a 2019 Hyundai SUV was travelling east when they hit the pedestrian.

The Newberry County Coroner’s Office is working on identifying the victim.

Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
