Clemson releases statement on Auburn-Clemson football game

CLEMSON, S.C. (WOLO) — On Wednesday, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster declared a state of emergency for South Carolina due to the threat of Hurricane Irma.

With Clemson hosting Auburn at 7 p.m. Saturday night, the athletics department released a statement Wednesday afternoon.

“Clemson officials are continuing to monitor the situation with Hurricane Irma, and have no changes to this weekend’s plans at this time,” according to Clemson Director of Communications Joe Galbraith. “We’ll continue to work with law enforcement, emergency services, and campus officials and will provide further updates if anything changes.”
