COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Back in 2016, Ben Lippen beat the then reining SCISA 3A champion Hammond Skyhaws twice in one season. The second victory came in the state playoffs during the Falcons run to their title.
As each side matched up against each other at Edens Field Friday night, Hammond left with momentum between the two power programs back on their side. The Skyhawks earned a 35-20 victory over last year’s state champs.
Hammond (3-0) will look to stay perfect on the campaign at Orangeburg Prep in week four, while Ben Lippen (1-2) aims to get back to .500 following a rematch of last year’s 3A Final taking place against Porter-Gaud.
