A Look at the Numbers: SC Power Outages

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– SCE&G expects to have power restored for everyone in the Midlands within the next two to three days.

For everyone in the state– including the coastal areas, within three to five days. Electric Co-Ops have less than 300 outages in Lexington county and none reported in Richland county.

At the height of the storm SCE&G officials say 154,000  customers were without power.

According to a release, as of Tuesday afternoon, approximately 28,000 SCE&G customers remained without power, with the largest concentrations of outages in the Charleston and Beaufort areas.

Officials say crews immediately began restoration efforts and worked through the night to restore power to nearly 100,000 customers by Tuesday morning.
