Hunky hurricane heroes go viral after scores of women ask to be “rescued”

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA (WOLO) –

Some Hurricane Irma emergency responders in Florida prompted a “response” of their own from tons of Facebook admirers.  It started when 3 Gainesville officers made a Facebook post of them preparing for duty. The post created its own storm after scores of women began inquiring about the officers’ relationship statuses.  The department fueled the fire by posting more hunky hurricane heroes. The post even sparked another unit from Sarasota to send in “backup” of their own. Gainesville officials say they are now planning a calendar of the department’s “finest”. All proceeds will benefit hurricane recovery efforts.
