Nothing Bundt Cakes to require stores to open on Sundays

(CNN)– Nothing Bundt Cakes will soon require stores to be open on Sundays.

The bakery chain had given franchise owners the option of being closed on Sundays, but corporate reversed police in the past to require all stores be open a minimum of 5 hours on Sundays starting in February.

Some franchises are not happy, saying the option to close on Sundays was a deciding factor in choosing to invest in the franchise.

Nothing Bundt Cakes said it would consider exceptions for stores open longer than 6 months.

However, so far, store owners say requests for exceptions have been ignored or not granted.

New franchise contracts include new rule.
